Doutorado em Psicologia da Educação pela Universidade do Minho (2007). Professor na Escola Superior de Educação do Politécnico do Porto desde 1995, sempre ligado à área científica da Educação Especial e Inclusão. Coordenador de Unidade Técnica e Científica entre 2008 e 2017. Coordenador da Licenciatura em Tradução e Interpretação em Língua Gestual Portuguesa. Desde 2009 que investiga os processos de transição para a vida pós-escolar de jovens em situação de incapacidade, tendo-se focado, mais recentemente, na transição para o ensino superior.

Ph.D. in Educational Psychology - University of Minho, 2007. Professor in the Porto Polytechnic School of Education since 1995, always in the scientific area of Special Education and Inclusion. Coordinated the department between 2008 and 2017. Currently coordinates the Bachelor Program in Portuguese Sign Language Translation and Interpretation. Since 2008 has been researching the transition processes to the post-school life of young people with disabilities, focusing, more recently, in the transition to higher education.
