Porto ICRE'19 - Porto International Conference on Research in Education 2019 - will take place at the Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal, between 17 and 19 July 2019. Like the previous edition (Porto ICRE‘17), Porto ICRE’19 is organised by the Centre for Research and Innovation in Education (inED) of the School of Education, a structure that brings together researchers from different interrelated areas of knowledge who contribute to the comprehensive and systematic study of education.

Education is a central process in the lives of human beings, both for individuals and for societies. As a crucial and wide-ranging process that takes place from the earliest years and throughout the life cycle, in a variety of situations and contexts, education has been the subject of attention from researchers, professionals, political decision-makers and society in general.

As a complex, culturally contextualised process, education must be understood as a multifaceted process whose study integrates various scientific areas and different perspectives. With this in mind, Porto ICRE'19 aims to bring together researchers, professionals, other educational agents with an interest in the field and students from various academic backgrounds to share and discuss educational issues within the scope of the Congress themes.

Congress themes

Authors are invited to submit proposals for oral presentations, symposia and posters on four general themes related to Research in Education:

(b) Special Education and Inclusion

(c) Culture, Art and Education

(d) Challenges of Society and Education
