About

UKIDS is an international project on "social entrepreneurship" to be developed in schools of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and in higher education, in teacher training. The following countries are involved in this project: Austria (leader), Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Holland and Portugal.

Goals:

The aim of this project is to promote, in the students of the 1st CEB and in higher education capacities, knowledge and an entrepreneurial attitude capable of improving their lives. The objectives of sustainable development are integrated in this learning (17 ODS - UN, set in 2015 in Agenda 2030), promoting greater individual responsibility, autonomy, creativity, curiosity, cooperation and initiative. These competencies, when developed in higher education students, in initial teacher training, should also integrate the key competences proposed by Europe.

Through this project students have the opportunity to solve real challenges and problems related to cultural, social and civic entrepreneurship and to present, in a cooperative and collaborative manner, sustainable solutions in which risk taking is encouraged and errors valued as an opportunity to learning.
