These were some of the questions that led to thinking about the Transforming Schools project, promoted by the Gonçalo da Silveira Foundation together with the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo.
With distinct and complementary knowledge, practices and geographies, these organizations wanted to contribute to the reflection on what a Transformative School is, by strengthening the integration of Education for Development / Education for Global Citizenship (ED/ECG) in spaces of formal education of 4 specific territories. The aim is to bring to the School a proposal for critical reflection and fundamental transformation for the construction of a more conscious society committed to social justice.
And as social transformation takes place in dialogue, this space was created to share the path(s) and learning, hoping that it will serve to continue feeding and enriching the debate, the practices... Utopia!
