Sara Cruz is a researcher in Educational Technology. Her PhD is about creative video editing as a pedagogical strategy for understanding threshold concepts. Current projects include technology-enhanced learning and innovative pedagogical practices using technology.
She is also an active member of the EPIC consortium (Pedagogical Excellence and Innovation in Co‑creation), a collaborative initiative involving the Universities of Minho, Aveiro and Beira Interior, together with the Polytechnic Institutes of Cávado and Ave, Leiria and Viana do Castelo. Through this consortium, she contributes to the promotion of pedagogical innovation and the integration of digital practices across these six institutions.
