‘Thinking with Maria Puig de la Bellacasa's Matters of Care: Concerns, Care, and Justice’ invites us to rethink the links between sport, youth and social justice through the lens of the ethics of care.
📚 Inspired by the work of feminist theorist Maria Puig de la Bellacasa, the article proposes imagining alternative worlds where care is not just a concept, but a relational and transformative practice, especially in the development of young athletes.
⚖️ What if the path to social justice went through a deeper and more disruptive ethic of care, capable of challenging dominant discourses such as Trumpism?

‘Photo-Based Methods to Illustrate the What, Where, and How of Life Skill Transfer’ explores how life skills acquired through sport are applied in different everyday contexts through the voices of young black people aged between 9 and 14.
Using visual methods such as photo-elicitation, the study reveals how skills such as self-control, effort, teamwork and responsibility are transferred to home, school, community and beyond.
👧🏽👦🏿 This work gives visibility to the lived experience of young people in positive development programmes, underlining the fundamental role of adults in creating ecosystems that promote sustainable skills throughout life.
