📢 inED Meets - 🗓 October 3 - ⏰ 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 inED Meeting Room + Online via Teams
In the next inED Meets session, we welcome Prof. Dr. Elke Emmers (School of Education Sciences, Hasselt University – Belgium) for a thought-provoking talk on: Inclusive Research and Inclusive Research Methods: Linking to Open Science and Open Data
We will explore how research can achieve a deeper social impact by prioritising diversity, inclusion, and data equity at its core.
🔎 Key questions:
• How can research be developed with communities, rather than merely about them?
• Which methodologies (e.g., photovoice) enhance participation, ownership, and the voice of participants?
• What does data equity mean in practice, and how can it contribute to sustainable social change?
• How can open science and open data be connected with inclusion, privacy, and co-ownership?
💡 Grounded in critical pedagogy and action research, this session will share concrete examples of how participatory data have influenced public policies and promoted real improvements in communities.
👤 Moderator: Prof. Dr. Miguel Santos (inED, ESE | P.PORTO)
