Possuí o Título de Especialista Universitário en El Dibujo y sus Técnicas de Expresión, 2008, pela mesma Faculdade. Mestre em Tipografia: Disciplina y Usos, pela Facultat de Belles Arts de la Universitat de Barcelona, España, 2009. Profissionalização em Ensino atribuído pela Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciência da Educação da Universidade do Porto, Portugal, 2009. Mestre em Disseny i Producció Multimèdia, pela Facultat de Belles Arts de la Universitat de Barcelona, España, 2006. Concluiu a Licenciatura em Design ramo Comunicação, pela Escola Superior de Artes & Design, Matosinhos, Portugal, 1999. Formador pelo Conselho Científico-Pedagógico da Formação Contínua nas áreas e domínios de: A05 Artes Gráficas/Artes Visuais; A31 Expressões (Plástica); A9I Design. Foi Professor de Artes Visuais no Ensino Básico e Secundário - Ministério da Educação, entre 2000 e 2015. Investiga práticas artísticas no contexto das tecnologias digitais, o modo como estas são lidas e a importância de procedimentos interpretativos para a produção de significado e para a experiência estética. O seu interesse gravita em torno das áreas de atividade científica do Desenho e das Tecnologias New Media Arts, nos domínios de especialização de Som e Imagem, Arte Eletrónica e Digital. O seu pensamento e prática exploram a convergência e a permeabilidade entre arte, design e tecnologias computacionais aplicadas à Educação Artística. Professor Auxiliar na Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Técnica do Porto.

He holds a PhD in Drawing and Its Techniques of Expression from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (2013). In 2009, he obtained the Research Proficiency Diploma (DEA) in the field of Drawing from the same institution and, in 2008, completed the University Specialist Programme in Drawing and Its Techniques of Expression. He also holds a Master’s degree in Typography: Discipline and Uses from the University of Barcelona (2009), a Professional Teaching Qualification awarded by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto (2009), and a Master’s degree in Multimedia Design and Production from the University of Barcelona (2006). He graduated in Communication Design from the School of Arts and Design (ESAD), Matosinhos, Portugal, in 1999. He is accredited as a trainer by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education in the areas of Graphic Arts/Visual Arts, Visual Expression, and Design. Between 2000 and 2015, he taught Visual Arts in Portuguese basic and secondary education schools under the Ministry of Education. His research focuses on artistic practices in the context of digital technologies, examining how they are interpreted and the role of interpretative processes in meaning-making and aesthetic experience. His interests lie within the fields of Drawing and New Media Arts Technologies, particularly in the areas of Sound and Image, Electronic Art, and Digital Art. His scholarly and artistic practice explores the convergence and permeability between art, design, and computational technologies applied to Arts Education. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education of the Technical University of Porto.
