Society Challenges and Education

This area intends: (i) to promote knowledge about sociocultural vulnerability processes, the dependency, the social needs or injustices, and the challenges they present to education as a value and a process aiming to develop quality of life, well-being and participation of citizens and communities;  (ii) to promote the comprehension of specific phenomenon related with health/disease process, sports practice or the inclusion in degraded urban territories, through the facilitative action of physical, economic and social transformation; (iii) the promotion of education trajectories for children and young people in risk situations, as well as those of young adults and adults, that allows them to live their citizenship rights integrally. It contributes, therefore, to the development and sustainability of emancipatory practices that envision social transformation, justice, and critical conscience, of oneself and the world.
